That is a lot to do right away, but I recommend you start slow and work your way up.

Run or jog as far as you can one day and figure out how far that is, work on beating that after a few days and so on.

I wish you luck, keep us updated. (btw I would be scared too!)

I have wanted to lose weight and more important then that get healthy for myself and my family. Well new years came around and I got really down on my self. Why cant I get motivated, Do I really need all that food, Why do I eat when I am sad then gain weight get sad and repeat. I threw a fit and signed my self up for a half marathon in April. Now I have a few months to get to the point I can run over 13 miles. What did I do??? I am in a panic, I am motivated, but with fear. I guess what ever works.

I did want to start running this year but Im not sure this is what I needed.

Im scared, and nervous...

I am a big resolution person.

I want to get down to a healthy weight. ( Im guessing around 115 but if I dont make it as long as I feel like I look and feel okay that is good enough)

Read 100 books.

Run a half marathon.

Organize my home and make it feel good to be in.

Grow a large garden with enough produce provide my family.

Get a sneaky savings account the Hubby does not know about.

Get out of debt, ( last year we took care of a lot of it, now we have a few cards and a jeep left, Hard but not impossible- We wont pay off the house any time soon.)

That is just a small list of what I have but they are the ones I am concentraiting on. I cant wait to hear everyone elses.

I weighed myself too this morning. I'm keep track of my weight loss for the year on sparkpeople. Hopefully it will be better then last year. I gained 10 lbs over the year!

oh my weight was 289
